What is CarbonBuilder Barley?
Building soil carbon for barley crops
CarbonBuilder Barley is one of our ground-breaking microbial products that supports barley’s natural ability to draw down carbon into cropping soils. CarbonBuilder Barley is an endophytic fungi applied as a seed dressing, and is compatible with most fungicidal seed treatments in Australia.
CarbonBuilder provides an important tool for growers looking to participate in soil carbon projects and increase crop productivity.
How does it work?
CarbonBuilder Barley has been developed and extensively tested in Australian cropping soils
The beneficial fungi in CarbonBuilder Barley are ascomycetous fungi belonging to the family Bionectriaceae. The fungi is filamentous with a saprophytic lifestyle, and has been widely reported and isolated from all continents except Antarctica. The product has been screened and tested at scale by our R&D team in Australia, with a focus on large-scale field testing across climatic zones and soil types.
What are the benefits?
Retain moisture
Improved nutrient uptake
Long-term soil health
